Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Alex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Hardy II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Alex had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Layden crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hart - the referee stops the clock and Layden gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hart. Layden manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Layden connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hart.
Hart throws a head kick that Layden semi-blocks.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hart.

Hart is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Layden to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Layden shrugs it off.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gracie connects with a nice short shot to Ming Chang's temple.
