Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ethan Burke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexis Favre! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Favre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Burke counters with a left and a right that stings Favre. Nice takedown defense from Favre. No joy for Burke on that attempt. Burke scores with a three punch combo!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Burke. Burke fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Favre is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Favre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burke swivels and escapes. Burke checks the leg kick. Burke clinches up with Favre and pushes him back against the cage. Burke goes for a takedown in the clinch but Favre prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Burke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Burke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Favre defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Burke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Favre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burke somewhat. Favre shapes to counter with a head kick. No luck for Favre with that takedown attempt. Burke is looking to counter with a body kick. Burke shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Burke has closed the distance and engaged Favre in a clinch.
Burke is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Favre pulls him back up using the underhooks. Burke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Favre is looking to clinch but Burke is avoiding it.
Burke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Burke wants it to stay on the feet. Nice uppercut lands for Burke. That snapped Favre's head back.
Burke throws a one two combo.
Favre tries to close the distance and clinch but Burke swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Favre tries to clinch up. Favre dives in for a single leg takedown but Burke sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Burke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Favre pinned against the cage. Favre gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Burke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Burke darts in and clinches Favre up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burke manages to break the clinch.
Favre's jab looks to have found its range, popping Burke under the eye. Burke shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Favre as he jumps to the side. Favre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burke defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Favre shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Burke but Burke pushes him off and we're back to square one. The fight stays on the outside here - Favre looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Burke lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Burke closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Favre's guard. Favre is wriggling around but Burke manages to pass to half guard.
Favre wants to control but Burke is keeping busy and won't allow it. Favre taking some punishment here, with Burke in his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Favre gets full guard. Favre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burke doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Favre is tightening it up a little... Burke has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Burke reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Burke taps out! Nice BJJ there by Favre!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown gets caught flat footed, as Mason shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Mason trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Brown has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Mason is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Brown tries to stall but Mason uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Mason throws a knee to the head but misses.
Brown tries to pull guard but Mason holds him up against the cage and eventually Brown drops back down to his feet.
Mason tries to land knees in the clinch but Brown avoids the damage to the body. Brown tries to pull guard but Mason won't allow it.
Brown is trying to break the clinch but Mason has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mason wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brown has him pressed against the cage. Mason dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Mason breaks from the clinch.
A left and a right from Brown both land. Nice combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick from Brown lands but Mason takes it in his stride. Brown throws a one two combo.
Brown fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mason has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Brown fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Curtis Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Brown. Mason shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brown manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mason slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mason stopping the sweep attempt from Brown. Mason is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mason is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mason flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Brown tries to stand but can't do so whilst Mason controls his leg. Mason desperately trying to maintain half guard. Brown throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mason keeps working. Mason wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mason controlling the position well. Brown is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mason doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brown.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mason actively working from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mason controlling the position well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mason throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A thudding body kick lands there by Brown!
Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Mason went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Mason has managed to clinch.

Harry Brown dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mason tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mason to the ground. Mason escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mason swivels and escapes. Brown gets tackled into the cage by Mason. Mason maintains the clinch. Mason manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mason lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Mason connects with a couple of short punches. Mason showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Mason postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mason has picked Brown up and slammed him! Brown can't keep hold of the triangle and Mason manages to pass to side control!

Brown might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mason haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Mason controls the position. Brown looking for a sweep but Mason has passed into full mount! Oh no! Mason sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mason goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Brown is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to control from the top but Mason keeps moving. Mason utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mason is looking for a triangle but Brown pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mason has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Mason's legs - danger averted. Mason wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment. Mason pulls Brown in close to prevent any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Brown trying to control but Mason is working from the bottom.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mason passes Brown's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mason takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mason moves into the clinch. Brown is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mason pulls him back up using the underhooks. Brown looking to slow down the pace here. Mason is working Brown over against the cage. Mason has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brown is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Brown can't get the takedown.

Mason has control of Brown's left arm, preventing Brown from doing any damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Brown looking to pass the guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brown tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch. Brown goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mason prevents it.
Mason is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brown can do to turn this around? Mason tightens his grip and picks Brown up, before dumping him to the ground. Brown manages to land in guard. Brown can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mason controls the pace. Mason's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mason got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mason has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted.

Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Lad jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wolf walks away with a smile on his face. Lad gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lad closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wolf circles away. Some wild striking there from Lad.

But no, Lad has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wolf but great work by Lad. Lad wants to stand but Wolf is controlling his arm. Lad wants to control but Wolf is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolf regains half guard. Lad is thwarting Wolf's attempts to control the position. Wolf is trying to get back to full guard. Wolf is refusing to be controlled, as Lad sits in half guard. Wolf is pressing down on Lad's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Wolf keeping moving, preventing Lad from controlling successfully. Lad won't allow Wolf to get back to his feet. Wolf has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wolf bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lad's guard.

Boom drives through and clinches with Garza against the cage.

Bomb could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bomb tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McClure manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bomb takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bomb is defended easily by McClure. McClure shoots in and bounces Bomb off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. McClure not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McClure stuffs the takedown attempt from Bomb. Bomb gets slowly back to his feet. Bomb tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bomb connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Bomb lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McClure at a distance.

McClure will be more careful next time no doubt. Hyper Bomb has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Big Bob McClure is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. No luck with that takedown attempt from McClure.

In favor of your winner, by split decision... Big Bob McClure! After the fight, Big Bob McClure was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
