With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Freaky Hiroshima! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Waters is defended easily by Hiroshima. Hiroshima throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hiroshima avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Waters wants to clinch. Hiroshima rushes Waters and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hiroshima pulls guard. Hiroshima is trying to control the position but Waters postures up.

Mario Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waters steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hiroshima. Hiroshima looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Waters trying to control the position from guard on top but Hiroshima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hiroshima throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Freaky Hiroshima dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mario Waters's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Hiroshima throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Waters tries to close the distance and clinch but Hiroshima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Waters closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hiroshima quickly recovers to half guard. Hiroshima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hiroshima is not content to let Waters control the position. Hiroshima wants to improve his position but Waters is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Waters stalling away here and it's allowed Hiroshima to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Waters wants to control from the top but Hiroshima keeps moving.

Waters jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hiroshima walks away with a smile on his face. Waters gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hiroshima pushes Waters up against the cage in a clinch. Hiroshima drags the fight down to the ground.
Hiroshima has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hiroshima keeping moving, preventing Waters from controlling successfully. Hiroshima is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hiroshima trying to keep a closed guard but Waters is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hiroshima looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waters is one step ahead there. Hiroshima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Waters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hiroshima is tightening it up a little... Waters has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Waters reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Waters taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hiroshima!

Maynard throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tecumseh sees it coming and avoids it easily. Maynard throws a series of punches but Tecumseh moves out of range. Maynard sizes up Tecumseh with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maynard loads up on a big right hand but Tecumseh slips the punch. Tecumseh steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Maynard. Maynard throws a head kick that misses. Tecumseh changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Maynard tries a head kick but it misses.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tecumseh. Maynard misses the shot to the body. Maynard throws the left hand but Tecumseh avoids the punch easily. Maynard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Maynard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tecumseh wants to counter the offense by Maynard and move into the clinch position. Maynard fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maynard throws a sloppy head kick and Tecumseh moves out of range easily. Maynard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maynard stuffs the takedown. Maynard looks to score with a jab to the body but Tecumseh is just out of range. Tecumseh avoids the head kick by Maynard.
And Tecumseh tries to counter it with a takedown but Maynard pushes his down on his head and steps out. Tecumseh looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Simon Maynard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Tecumseh. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maynard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Maynard fails to land with a series of punches.
Tecumseh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maynard sprawls well. Maynard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tecumseh gets slowly back to his feet. Maynard looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Tecumseh tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Maynard defends well and Tecumseh ends up having to push Maynard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Maynard lands with an uppercut that bounces Tecumseh off the cage and back into range. Maynard fails to land with a series of punches.
Tecumseh feints the counter takedown. Maynard misses with a shot to the body and Tecumseh counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Tecumseh is looking for a takedown. Maynard gets underhooks to prevent Tecumseh's takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tecumseh is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Maynard pulls him back up using the underhooks. Maynard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A lazy body kick from Maynard and Tecumseh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Maynard won't be happy with that. Maynard is looking for a sweep. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Maynard wants to get back to his feet. Maynard is trying to improve his position. Tecumseh has an Americana. Maynard didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tecumseh is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tecumseh hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Briggs has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hamland drops an elbow to the side of Briggs's head. Hamland looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Briggs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hamland on the ground. Briggs is not content to let Hamland control the position. Briggs blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hamland. Briggs avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hamland. Hamland takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hamland not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hamland is nestled in close to Briggs, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hamland working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamland scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hamland thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hamland drops an elbow to the side of Briggs's head. Hamland is trying to control the action in half guard but Briggs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hamland uses his free foot to push down on Briggs's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Briggs. Hamland cracks Briggs with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
It looks like Bacardi Briggs has been cut. Hamland lands with some strikes. Hamland tries to control but Briggs wriggling away. Hamland takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hamland cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrovic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Roy's guard. Petrovic trying to control the position from guard on top but Roy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Roy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Petrovic is one step ahead there. Roy prevents Petrovic from improving his position. Roy is thwarting Petrovic's attempts to control the position. Roy drops an elbow to the side of Petrovic's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roy connects with a nice short shot to Petrovic's temple. Petrovic trying to control but Roy postures up.

Petrovic trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Petrovic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roy on the ground. Roy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Petrovic's face.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mil shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cunningham but Cunningham pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cunningham appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Mil is still on wobbly legs! Can Cunningham finish him? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bjornsson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krulov manages to avoid it. Krulov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Krulov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. It looks like Zahar Krulov has been cut. Krulov has his takedown stuffed and Bjornsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bjornsson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Krulov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bjornsson. Krulov fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Erik Bjornsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zahar Krulov. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krulov avoids a punch combination nicely.
