Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bear Loman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jean Arlin! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and David Hoff.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loman with a body punch. A glancing blow. Loman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Arlin circles away quickly and effectively. Loman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Arlin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Loman has Arlin up against the cage in a clinch.

It looks like Bear Loman has been cut. Loman swings and misses with a shot to the body and Arlin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Oh Loman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Loman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Arlin was well out of range. Poor timing from Loman. Loman seems to have got his legs back now. Loman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Arlin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Arlin takes a swing at Loman's ribcage but misses. Loman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A big right from Arlin misses. Arlin misses with a hook. Bear Loman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Loman throws a low kick but Arlin moves out of range easily. Loman wants to clinch up but Arlin keeps it at a distance. Arlin with a body punch. A glancing blow. Loman swings for the body but Arlin moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Loman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Arlin lands a right hand from hell, dropping Loman. Arlin pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carpio on the side of the head. Carpio on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Jacobs looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Diego Carpio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carpio wants to clinch up but Jacobs keeps it at a distance. Jacobs now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Carpio takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nielsen. Schneider is looking to get back to his feet here but Nielsen is keeping cool and he's managed to take Schneider's back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nielsen looking to break Schneider's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Schneider remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Nielsen will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Nielsen trying to control momentarily.
Nielsen lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Nielsen has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Schneider's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nielsen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Nielsen softening up his opponent with strikes here.
