Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Stephens closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Oooooh!!! Despo has knocked Touch down with a huge combo! Despo steps away and waves a wobbly Touch back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Midas Touch has been cut.

Touch has a takedown stuffed.
Despo slaps away a takedown attempt from Touch, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuyama tries to close the distance and clinch but Jaworski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jaworski moves out of range of the body kick.
Jaworski throws a counter combo.
Matsuyama with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jaworski to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Daisuke Matsuyama has been cut.
Jaworski works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Matsuyama moves in looking to clinch but Jaworski pushes him off.
It seemed like Jaworski was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Jaworski throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jaworski punishes Matsuyama's body with a nice straight punch.
Jaworski scores with a hook to the body. Matsuyama takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Matsuyama wants to clinch but Jaworski slips to the side

Jaworski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matsuyama.

Matsuyama drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jaworski has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
