With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Man O War! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arctic Char! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. O War looks to score with a jab to the body but Char is just out of range. Char misses the shot to the body. A quick step to the side and O War tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Char lands with a nice body punch. O War works Char's body with a nice hook. Char attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. O War is looking to counter with a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Char punishes O War's body with a nice straight punch. Char just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Char digs a good hook to O War's body.
O War throws a chopping leg kick but Char manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A looping hook to the body misses from Char. O War does a little dance to reset his feet. A quick step to the side and O War tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. O War looks to score with a jab to the body but Char is just out of range. Char wants to counter the offense by O War and move into the clinch position. Char uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by O War.
O War misses the shot to the body. Char appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. O War is looking to wear down Char with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Char looks to score with a jab to the body but O War is just out of range. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as O War checks a leg kick. O War fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Char manages to avoid it. Char now looks to counter with a shot at the body. O War throws a body punch but Char moves out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! O War misses with a body shot
and Char moves into the clinch. O War looking to slow down the pace here.
And that's the end of the fight! Arctic Char comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Char has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Hoo misses the shot to the body. Nha is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hoo with a body shot. Hoo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nha paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoo tries to work over Nha's front leg with a kick but Nha checks it. Nha ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hoo moves away. Hoo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nha was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoo. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nha takes a swing at Hoo's ribcage but misses. Hoo takes a swing at Nha's ribcage but misses. A countering left hand to the body from Nha misses.

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devyn Howell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bio Frankenstein! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howell dives in and scores a takedown into Frankenstein's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Frankenstein looking for a guillotine here but Howell defends easily.
Howell trying to control the position from guard on top but Frankenstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Howell has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howell advances position into side control! Howell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frankenstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Howell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Frankenstein has escaped the position, nice work there. Howell wants to control but Frankenstein is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howell is trying to get an arm triangle but Frankenstein is defending well. Frankenstein is looking for a sweep. Howell controlling the position. Frankenstein tries to buck Howell off but Howell is having none of it. Howell is looking to take a break and control but Frankenstein is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Howell tries for a kimura but Frankenstein is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Frankenstein tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Howell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Howell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frankenstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Frankenstein sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Howell passes the guard and advances to mount! Howell has hold of Frankenstein's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Frankenstein manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Frankenstein tries to reverse the position but Howell maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Howell is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Frankenstein to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Frankenstein shrugs it off. Howell throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Frankenstein has his hands clasped together but Howell breaks the hold and Frankenstein is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Howell!
