Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Price! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roundel Scoot! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Price misses the shot to the body. Scoot bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Scoot staying out of range there. Scoot moves out of range of the strikes. Scoot on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. We've been told by Price's head coaches at Honu Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Price throws a right hand that Scoot ducks under and follows up with a left that Scoot also avoids with ease. Price finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Price takes a swing at Scoot's ribcage but misses. A big right from Price misses. Price misses with a body shot.
Price takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Price misses with a low kick. Price throws a hook but Scoot avoids it easily. Scoot lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Scoot avoids a lazy jab quite easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Scoot! But no joy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scoot lands a jab. Price shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Price clinches up against the cage. Price slowing the pace effectively. Scoot blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Price lands with a right to the head. Scoot has had enough of the clinch but Price keeps him there for the moment. Price keeps control of Scoot as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Scoot takes a shot to the head. Price tries to work over Scoot's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Price misses with the head strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Price pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Scoot paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Price moves into the clinch successfully.

Price has Scoot pressed against the cage, preventing Scoot from circling away and getting back to striking at range. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Price creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Price manages to break the clinch.

and Scoot counters with a stiff right hand. Scoot ducks under a wild hook from Price. Price scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Price bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Scoot's head. Price misses with a straight left. James Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scoot scores with a hook to the body. Price takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Price tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scoot was well out of range. Poor timing from Price. Price is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Scoot. Scoot has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Price throws a body punch but Scoot moves out of range. A countering left hand to the body from Scoot misses. Scoot takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Scoot is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Price had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Scoot with a body punch. A glancing blow. Scoot uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Price misses with a looping right. Scoot throws a body punch but Price moves out of range. Price moves into range and clinches up with Scoot. Scoot is trying to break free. A quick uppercut on the inside from Price. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crawford tries to get into range but Pace steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Crawford! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Pace scores the big KO victory!
