The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zavala fails with the takedown and Warner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Zavala with a poor takedown and Warner counters with a straight right hand. Zavala shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eduardo Zavala. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zavala closes the distance but Warner moves to the side and Warner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Zavala is breathing heavily. Zavala with a poor takedown and Zavala takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Warner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Warner fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Warner scores with a spinning back kick! Zavala has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Warner. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Warner thows a body kick. Zavala tries to catch it but that hurt him. Warner explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Warner cracks Zavala with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Zavala looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Warner finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Warner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Zavala gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Warner gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acosta missing with a left hand there. Spence was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. As Acosta looks to move away, Spence throws a big counter combo but Acosta just gets out of the way. Spence moves in looking to clinch but Acosta pushes him off. Acosta misses with a lunging right hand
and Spence counters with a series of strikes. Acosta will be more careful next time no doubt. Spence drops his hands momentarily and Acosta takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Spence is looking to clinch. Acosta lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Acosta feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Spence sprawling to the canvas! Spence rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Acosta finish him?!
Spence is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Acosta lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Spence up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Acosta from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Spence's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Riley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Riley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Simons has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Riley landing some decent shots from guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Simons looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riley is one step ahead there. Simons can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Riley controls the pace. And that is the end of the round. Freddie Simons overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Simons is trying to land an Americana. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGraw throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sandoval stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Sandoval is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McGraw. McGraw misses the shot to the body. McGraw lands a jab. It looks like Tristan Sandoval has been cut. Sandoval moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. It looks like Scooter McGraw has been cut. Sandoval definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. McGraw feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sandoval sprawling to the canvas! Sandoval rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McGraw finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice defenses there by McGraw. McGraw drops Sandoval with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sandoval looks back up at him and smiles so McGraw waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
