Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Valentine lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sheeks has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sheeks and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas throws a head kick but McMurphy moves out of range.

Thomas rushes McMurphy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Thomas turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Thomas manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on McMurphy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

McMurphy can't do much from the bottom here.

Thomas is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McMurphy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Thomas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McMurphy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thomas.
