The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice throws a body kick that misses
and Rose counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rice!
Rice is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rice is pushing Rose's head away, looking to escape. Rose manages to hold on to the position though.
Rose tries to get to his feet but Rice is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Rose in his guard.
Rose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rice swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Edward Rice will probably get the nod.

Rose has hold of Rice's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rice manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Rose postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rice looks a forlorn figure.

Let's hope that Rose has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Charles Drake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drake cracks Dabija with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Drake really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Drake lands a hook that stumbles Dabija back into the cage. Drake follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Dabija to the canvas! Drake pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Dabija has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
