Jones Ii manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Log on his heels. He'll look to pass Log's guard now, I'm sure.
Log is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones Ii dives into side control.


Jones Ii is trying to get an arm triangle but Log is defending well.
Jones Ii grinds an elbow into Log's temple.
Jones Ii controls the position from side control.
Jones Ii trying to control the position but Log is working away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Log tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones Ii cranks the arm and Log screams in pain! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Goodman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Leo lands a lovely overhand right.
Goodman looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Goodman takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Goodman lands with a good body shot.
Milton Goodman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Goodman tries for a takedown but Leo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Leo throws a hook to the side of Goodman's head but Goodman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Goodman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Leo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Goodman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Leo's guard.

Goodman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Leo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Leo has escaped and now he's on top!


Goodman has his foot on Leo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Leo works his way back into a safe position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Goodman can do anything to dispel that myth.

Buha lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Carter sprawling to the canvas. Buha follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Carter hang on?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Buha is looking for a kimura but Carter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Buha to get the leverage.
Carter felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Buha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Buha has managed to get both his arms back between Carter's legs - danger averted.
