Undercard bout

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaque Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Brandon Vera was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Freeman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Freeman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Freeman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Freeman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freeman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
