Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshikura Mazuri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rip Off! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mazuri leaves Off with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mazuri moves into the clinch. Off changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mazuri fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mazuri closes the distance and clinches. Mazuri stalling in the clinch.
Off tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Yoshikura Mazuri has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rip Off. Off fails to pull guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Mazuri pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Off is keeping the position for now. Mazuri preventing the sweep. Mazuri will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Off is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mazuri defends well. Off looks gassed!

Mazuri seems to be working for a kimura but Off defends the submission attempt. Off has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Mazuri escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Mazuri! Off seems a little lost for a moment, as Mazuri dominates the positioning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Off is working to avoid the ground and pound but Mazuri connects with a decent elbow. Off tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mazuri is chipping away with strikes.
A lull in the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Off tries to buck Mazuri off but Mazuri is having none of it. Mazuri controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Off tries to improve position but can't. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yoshikura Mazuri. Off tries for a takedown but Mazuri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mazuri clinches up with Off and pushes him back against the cage. Off jumps guard but Mazuri stands there with Off around his waist. Off gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mazuri lands with a nice body punch. Off fails with a takedown attempt. Rip Off seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Off throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mazuri's waist but Mazuri gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Off off to one side. Off tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mazuri sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Off somewhat. Mazuri closes the distance and clinches. Mazuri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Off shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mazuri pinned against the cage. Mazuri gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Off doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trosin misses with a takedown attempt - Red sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Trosin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Red gets back to half guard. Red looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Red manages to get to full guard.
Trosin distracts Red with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Trosin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Red has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Trosin should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Red has tightened it up now! Trosin should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazama pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kazama works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kazama is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fujimiya. Kazama scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Fujimiya looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kazama is fending him off so far but Fujimiya persists. Nope, Kazama circles away and we're back to standing. Kazama throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Kazama keeps the fight on the outside. Fujimiya takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice defenses there by Fujimiya. Kazama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Kazama cracks the inside of Fujimiya's front leg. Fujimiya shoots in looking for a takedown. Kazama tries to sprawl out of it but Fujimiya keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kazama manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Kazama darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Kazama tries to avoid it but Fujimiya manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kazama to the ground. Kazama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kazama lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Fujimiya tries to clinch up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fujimiya is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Fujimiya is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Fujimiya closes the distance and clinches up with Kazama, looking for a takedown. Fujimiya pushes Kazama against the cage but Kazama circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kazama wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama scores with a nice head shot. Fujimiya dives in and grabs Kazama's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kazama pushes down on Fujimiya's head and hops out. Fujimiya shoots for a takedown but Kazama saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jin Kazama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick misses from Kazama. Kazama throws a head kick but Fujimiya moves out of range.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Fujimiya might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Horrible takedown by Fujimiya or perhaps it was just good defense by Kazama which made him look bad. Kazama lands with a straight right. Fujimiya didn't see that one coming. Kazama connects with a high kick. Kazama lands with a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fujimiya on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Kazama scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kazama defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fujimiya.

Kazama swats away the attempt to clinch by Fujimiya. Kazama smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. The fight stays on the outside here - Fujimiya looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fujimiya takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kazama misses with a head kick.

Fujimiya shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kazama sprawls well. Kazama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fujimiya gets slowly back to his feet. Fujimiya fails to land the takedown. Kazama throws a good cross that connects.
Jin Kazama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fujimiya wants to clinch up but Kazama keeps it at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazama lands a lovely overhand right. Fujimiya shoots for a double leg takedown but Kazama sprawls well. He's pushed Fujimiya's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fujimiya takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kazama has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fujimiya on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kazama. Kazama obviously looking to wear him down.

And that's the end of the fight! Jin Kazama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kazama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
