That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gaetano Villacci.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Villacci, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernando moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Fernando clobbers Bukele with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fernando really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fernando sizes up Bukele with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fernando fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bukele is rocked!
The fight stays on the outside here - Bukele looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bukele closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fernando circles away.
Bukele doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Fernando counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Fernando manages to break the clinch.
Fernando connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Bukele is still on wobbly legs! Can Fernando finish him?
Bukele shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Freaky Fernando has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Bukele.
Bukele shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fernando pinned against the cage. Fernando gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bukele seems to have recovered his senses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bukele takes one to the side of the head.
Bukele tries to close the distance and clinch but Fernando swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bukele shoots for a double leg takedown but Fernando sprawls well. He's pushed Bukele's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fernando is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Fernando scores with the left hand. Bukele knows he should have avoided that one.
Fernando steps in with a hook that catches Bukele right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Fernando follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Bukele looks absolutely devastated.
