The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pelipe throws out the jab.
Jones avoids the body shot from Pelipe.
Jones wants to counter the offense by Pelipe and move into the clinch position.
Jones is looking to clinch but Pelipe is avoiding it.
Pelipe misses with a hook.
Pelipe lands with an overhand left.
Jones swings for the body but Pelipe moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pelipe throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
It seemed like Jones was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Pelipe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pelipe scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jones doesn't seem bothered though.
Jones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pelipe defends well and Jones ends up having to push Pelipe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Pelipe walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Jones drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Pelipe swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Jones's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

After the fight, Hugo Pelipe was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
