The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dee shoots for a double leg takedown but Hill sprawls well. He's pushed Dee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hill darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hill is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hill is looking for a kimura but Dee is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hill to get the leverage.
Dee is trying to stand back up but Hill is controlling him
Hill is keen to just control but Dee is a slippery customer.
Hill prevents Dee from improving his position.
Hill passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dee!
Dee tries to lock up and control but Hill gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Bernard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Rod tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bernard just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bernard has a couple of punches blocked by Rod.
Rod drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bernard pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bernard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rod's head backwards.

Playmaker parries the strikes from Lucas easily there. Lucas is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Playmaker to escape.

Playmaker has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Lucas escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Lucas!
Kane Lucas has got the better of the ground game so far.

Lucas tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lucas has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
