Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josue Luna (ranked 2840 p4p, 5914 weight class) and Lonnie Bryan (ranked 293 p4p, 476 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luna misses with a few strikes there.
Luna has his takedown stuffed

and Bryan counters by clinching up.

It looks like Josue Luna has been cut.

Bryan has gone for a leg lock! Luna slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bryan's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Luna working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bryan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bryan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bryan wants to get up but he can't break Luna's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Luna has his feet on Bryan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

and Bryan counters with a one-two to the body.
Bryan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Luna but Luna pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bryan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Luna.

Luna shoots in but no luck this time.

Bryan goes for a double leg but Luna avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Luna continues to drive forward.

Bryan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Luna has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bryan has managed to get both his arms back between Luna's legs - danger averted.

Bryan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Luna manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bryan has Luna in his guard.

Luna goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bryan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Luna but great work by Bryan.

Bryan pushes Luna off looking to stand but Luna dives back in and keeps control.
Bryan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Luna is working away from the top position though.

Luna thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bryan throws a sloppy head kick and Luna moves out of range easily.
Luna is looking to counter with head kicks.
Bryan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Luna sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
