The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Data rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Panda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Data's corner calls for a 1-2. Data obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Data has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Data lands a big head kick that sends Panda tumbling to the mat! Data takes a step backwards and waves Panda back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Grappling Panda has been cut.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Panda postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Data is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Panda, into his guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
