Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alien Invasion (ranked 1527 p4p, 264 weight class) and Chick Hamland (ranked 193 p4p, 36 weight class). Chick Hamland told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Invasion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hamland manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Hamland looking to hit a scissor sweep but Invasion is one step ahead there. Invasion definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Invasion distracts Hamland with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Invasion won't allow Hamland to sweep him here. Hamland changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Invasion looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Invasion is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Invasion tries to strike from the bottom but misses. You can see the frustration on Invasion's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Invasion is trying to improve his position. Alien Invasion overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hamland advances to full mount. The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Zoric looks OK. Loco waves Zoric back to his feet! Zoric is rocked! It looks like Danilo Zoric has been cut. Loco fakes the body blow, causing Zoric to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Zoric goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Patter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Patter has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Patter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Santorino sprawling to the canvas! Santorino rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Patter finish him?!
Santorino is rocked! Patter might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. A shot to the liver by Santorino. Beautiful body shot. Oh Santorino is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Patter has closed the distance and engaged Santorino in a clinch.

Patter throws a hook but Santorino avoids it easily. Patter tries to clinch up. Patter throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Santorino's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Patter dives in looking to finish as Santorino flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Patter's strikes! Patter is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Santorino's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Santorino was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Walton! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walton throws a body shot but no joy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roy. A nice side step and Walton releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Walton throws the left hand but Roy avoids the punch easily. Roy dives in and scores a takedown into Walton's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roy advances position into side control! Roy scores with a couple of short elbows. Roy lands some shots froms side control. Walton manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Arlin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Potter moves away from the strike by Arlin. Arlin just misses with a punch to the body.
Potter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Arlin manages to avoid it. Arlin gets tackled into the cage by Potter. Potter maintains the clinch. Arlin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A nice right hand lands inside from Potter. Arlin lands with a short head shot on the inside. Potter lands a nice shot to the body. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bear Loman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lawson Serrano! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loman misses with a looping left. Serrano shoots in looking for a takedown but Loman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Serrano's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Serrano has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Serrano scores with a jab to the head.
Loman lands a big head kick that sends Serrano tumbling to the mat! Loman takes a step backwards and waves Serrano back to his feet - he wants the finish! It looks like Lawson Serrano has been cut. Loman slips a straight right by Serrano. Loman throws an off balance right hand
