Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kamren Rivera (ranked 25178 p4p, 25060 weight class) and Yao Ming (ranked 544 p4p, 535 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kamren Rivera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yao Ming! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ming misses with an uppercut. Rivera saw that one coming. Rivera loads up on a big right hand but Ming slips the punch. Rivera lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rivera takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rivera throws an overhand right that lands on Ming's shoulder, as Ming tries to avoid the shot. Rivera scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Rivera throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ming counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ming misses with a straight left. Jab from Rivera. Ming is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rivera falls off balance throwing a combination

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rivera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Herman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Herman seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Ziskie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Herman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Herman is trying to maintain the position but Ziskie is very close to passing his half guard. Ziskie prevents Herman from improving his position. Herman has hold of Ziskie's hands but Ziskie slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ziskie is just content to waste time from the top position. Herman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Ziskie looking to pass the guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Odom Hunt clinches up against the cage. Odom Hunt avoids the elbow strike from Pitt, against the cage.
Pitt is working for takedown but Odom Hunt is calmly controlling the position for now. Odom Hunt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Odom Hunt throws a hook but Pitt avoids it easily. Good exchange - Pitt coming out on top. Pitt throws a hook to the side of Odom Hunt's head but Odom Hunt sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Odom Hunt stuns Pitt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Pitt misses with a left hand and Odom Hunt counters with a straight right hand. It looks like Cesar Pitt has been cut. Odom Hunt tests Pitt's chin there with a solid looking shot. Pitt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Pitt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Cesar Pitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Odom Hunt works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Pitt misses with an uppercut. A little jabbing left from Odom Hunt on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Pitt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Odom Hunt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dean shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hope as he avoids it easily. Hope connects with a body shot. Hope defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dean. Dean looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Dean closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hope circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Dean. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Hope as Dean shoots in. Dean goes for a double leg but Hope avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hope continues to drive forward. Dean breaks the clinch.
