And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alibaba Mehmet AliKhan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AliKhan bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Quantou shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as AliKhan sprawls well. AliKhan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quantou gets slowly back to his feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from AliKhan! But no joy.
Quantou gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and AliKhan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
AliKhan's coach down at Casa Steel was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on AliKhan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Quantou shoots and misses
and AliKhan counters with a big right hand! Oh Quantou is in trouble here! AliKhan follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
