The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Weaver's jab looks to have found its range, popping Asher under the eye.
Weaver has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Asher takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Wu drives through and clinches with Grant against the cage.
Grant jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wu walks away with a smile on his face. Grant gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Grant changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wu tries to avoid it but Grant manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wu to the ground. Wu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wu shoots in but Grant avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wu motions for Grant to come forward. Wu throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Wu leaves Grant with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moses Grant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grant tries to avoid it but Wu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grant to the ground. Grant escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grant sprawls well initially but Wu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

It looks like Wu might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
