Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hard Hitter!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitter shoots for a double leg takedown but Everett sprawls well. He's pushed Hitter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Everett throws a leg kick

and Hitter counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Everett is wriggling around but Hitter manages to pass to half guard.

Hitter is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Hitter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Everett swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hitter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Everett on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Everett tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hitter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Everett breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hitter leaves Everett with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hitter misses with a wild combination.
Hitter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Everett's waist but Everett gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hitter off to one side.

Hitter gets tackled into the cage by Everett. Everett maintains the clinch.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Everett stalls.

Everett gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hitter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Everett prevents Hitter from improving his position.

Everett is looking for a kimura but Hitter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Everett to get the leverage.

That was a close round but I would say that Ben Everett will probably get the nod.

Everett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Everett is trying to keep Hitter in close.
Hitter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Everett works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hard Hitter has got the better of the ground game so far.
Hitter cracks Everett with a solid left hand.
Everett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hitter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Everett's guard.

Hitter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Everett is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Everett is doing well to control the position and prevent Hitter from advancing to side control.
Hitter throwing shots but Everett is blocking nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Everett is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Everett moves into range and clinches up with Hitter.
Everett tries to pull guard but Hitter holds him up against the cage and eventually Everett drops back down to his feet.
Everett tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hitter avoids it.
Hitter scores with a shot to the side of Everett's head.

Hitter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hitter shoots in and bounces Everett off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hitter wants to pass the guard but Everett is keeping the position.

Hard Hitter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Everett got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hitter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Everett has managed to get both his arms back between Hitter's legs - danger averted.
Hitter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ben Everett.
