Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Popinski wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Popinski has wrist control.

Popinski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Popinski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Popinski is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Popinski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Joness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That was a close round but I would say that Soda Popinski will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Popinski lands a big right hand that sends Jones crashing to the mat! Popinski stays standing though and waves Jones back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Popinski walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Jones drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Popinski swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Jones's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Soda Popinski!
