With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Max Kinnaman!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peters closes the distance and pushes Kinnaman back into the cage.
Peters gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kinnaman.

Peters manages to break the clinch.
Peters throws a one two combo.
It looks like Max Kinnaman has been cut.
Peters fails in his attempt to clinch.

Peters gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kinnaman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kinnaman trying to control but Peters is working from the bottom.
Kinnaman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Peters. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Peters is trying to stand back up but Kinnaman is controlling him

Peters looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kinnaman is one step ahead there.
Kinnaman tries to free his leg and advance position but Peters is retaining full guard.
Kinnaman throws a big elbow that misses.
Peters throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Peters looking for a guillotine here but Kinnaman defends easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kinnaman drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Peters dives on top into guard.

Kinnaman is looking to sweep but instead, Peters has passed into half guard.
Kinnaman wants to improve his position but Peters is controlling well.

Peters tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kinnaman controls his leg.
Kinnaman tries to get to full guard but Peters has control of the leg.
Peters wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kinnaman keeps working.
Kinnaman wants to improve his position but Peters is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peters is working for a kimura but Kinnaman is defending it quite comfortably.
Peters thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Kinnaman shoots in and bounces Peters off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Peters tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kinnaman swivels and escapes.

Despite the aggression on Kinnaman's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Peters doesn't manage to clinch there - Kinnaman circles away.
Peters shoots in and drives through. Kinnaman sprawls well.
Peters fails with an attempt to clinch.

Peters gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kinnaman throwing strikes from guard but Peters blocks nicely.
Kinnaman is working Peters over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kinnaman tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Peters has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Kinnaman tries to reverse the position but Peters maintains control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Peters tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Peters prevents Kinnaman from getting the reversal.
Peters tries to control but Kinnaman wriggling away.
Manny Peters overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Peters looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Peters has closed the distance and engaged Kinnaman in a clinch.
Peters tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kinnaman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Peters gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Peters is trying to push Kinnaman away but Kinnaman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Peters escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Kinnaman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Peters tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kinnaman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kinnaman drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Peters defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kinnaman feints and as Peters raises his hands in defense, Kinnaman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Peters has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kinnaman is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Peters pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kinnaman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kinnaman lands in his opponent's guard.

Kinnaman is looking to pass into half guard but Peters pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Peters is in guard.

Peters has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kinnaman is working away from the top position though.

Well Peters has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
