The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brennan pinned against the cage. Brennan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brennan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mayo circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Brennan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mayo walks away with a smile on his face. Brennan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mayo tries to bum rush Brennan with a series of wild strikes but Brennan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Brennan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mayo tries to avoid it but Brennan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mayo to the ground. Mayo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
