The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Papa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Winterio gets a double leg takedown into Papa's guard. Winterio trying to control the position from guard on top but Papa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Winterio decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Papa, up you get! Winterio throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Papa counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Winterio is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Papa pulls him back up using the underhooks. Papa wants the takedown. Winterio is fighting it off but Papa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Winterio's guard against the cage. Winterio manages to escape and get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Papa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Winterio is trying to defend but Papa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Papa wants to free his trapped foot but Winterio is holding on for dear life with his legs. Winterio slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Winterio has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Papa should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Winterio has tightened it up now! Papa should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burns tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rignold counters with a takedown into side control. Burns is trying to get back to half guard. Rignold controlling the position from side mount. Rignold decides to stand up, so the ref orders Burns to his feet. Rignold feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Burns looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martinez goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Butler has his takedown stuffed and Martinez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Butler is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Martinez presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Butler is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Martinez is defending well for now. Butler wants a takedown but no success here.

Banton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. It looked like Rey wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Banton with a poor takedown enabling Rey to counter with a crisp jab. Honore Nazaire Rey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Banton. Rey misses the jab. Banton with the counter takedown but Rey avoids it easily. Banton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rey is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Banton. Rey forces Banton back against the cage and clinches. Rey controlling the action here for a moment.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Rey for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Li swings around for an armbar but Van Sanders sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Li's guard. Li might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Van Sanders wants to pass the guard but Li is keeping the position.

Van Sanders scores with a spinning back kick! Van Sanders throws a right and a left that Li avoids nicely. Li throwing a counter right hand but Van Sanders manages to avoid it. Van Sanders fails in his attempt to clinch. Van Sanders tries to clinch but Li moves away and Li counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Li. Li trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Sanders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Li avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Li forces his way into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Van Sanders could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Li has cracked it and Van Sanders is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Li!
