In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Eldar Kurtanidze! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Josh Naylor! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.#CL2# Naylor pushes Kurtanidze up against the cage in a clinch.#TD# Kurtanidze has Naylor pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kurtanidze pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Naylor tumbling to the mat - Kurtanidze dives into Naylor's guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Kurtanidze (2) vs (0) Naylor#SUB2# Naylor working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kurtanidze doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kurtanidze manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kurtanidze tries to free his leg and advance position but Naylor is retaining full guard. Kurtanidze sitting in guard here, content to control. Kurtanidze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Naylor swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kurtanidze stopping the sweep attempt from Naylor. Kurtanidze is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.#SUB# Kurtanidze is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #T1# Kurtanidze stays in close to Naylor's body and controls the position. Kurtanidze pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Naylor is keeping the position for now. Kurtanidze is pushing down on Naylor's leg trying to pass to half guard. Naylor is fighting to maintain full guard but Kurtanidze has managed to sneak the leg through.#T2# Kurtanidze seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kurtanidze seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Naylor for as long as he can get away with.#SUB# Kurtanidze is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Naylor makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Naylor. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kurtanidze is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Naylor can't keep his opponent in guard - Kurtanidze advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. #T3# Kurtanidze is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Naylor! Score +3 for passing guard: Kurtanidze (5) vs (0) Naylor Naylor is looking to get to half guard. Kurtanidze controlling the pace for now. Naylor is trying to escape the mount but Kurtanidze keeps good control and instead manages to take Naylor's back.
Score +3 for taking back: Kurtanidze (8) vs (0) Naylor#SUB# Kurtanidze is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Naylor is defending well though. Kurtanidze let's go of the attempt for now. Naylor tries to escape but Kurtanidze has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kurtanidze trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Naylor doesn't escape. Naylor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kurtanidze. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#T4# I really don't envy Naylor right now.
#SUB# Kurtanidze working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Naylor is doing well to defend. Kurtanidze seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Naylor is forced to tap and this one is over!

In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Hunter Cisneros! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Reece Hartman! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Cisneros changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hartman tries to avoid it but Cisneros manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hartman to the ground. Hartman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hartman goes for a double leg but Cisneros avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cisneros continues to drive forward. Hartman shoots in looking for a takedown. Cisneros tries to sprawl out of it but Hartman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cisneros manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. #TD2# Hartman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cisneros manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Cisneros (0) vs (2) Hartman Cisneros seems keen to control Hartman's posture. Hartman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hartman advances to half guard. #T1# Hartman slows the pace down in half guard. Cisneros controlling the position well. Hartman is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# Hartman passes to side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Cisneros (0) vs (5) Hartman#SUB2# Hartman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cisneros is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB2# Hartman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hartman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hartman controlling the position. #T3# Let's hope that Hartman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like Hartman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#SUB2# Hartman in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Cisneros is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
