Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Buchanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendall Clarke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buchanen comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendall Clarke! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarke closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Clarke in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Buchanen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Buchanen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Clarke is controlling him well. Sloppy strikes there by Clarke. Clarke postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clarke is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Buchanen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Clarke throws an elbow but Buchanen slips to the side and avoids it well. Clarke creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Buchanen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Buchanen avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Clarke.

Buchanen is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Buchanen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Clarke moves away.
Clarke drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Clarke missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Clarke postures up in Buchanen's guard and throws a big left but Buchanen blocks it. Clarke throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Clarke with a flurry of punches that miss.

Clarke drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Buchanen manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Clarke has Buchanen in his guard. Buchanen postures up in Clarke's guard and throws a big left but Clarke blocks it. Clarke controls Buchanen momentarily but Buchanen frees himself. Clarke wants to sweep here but Buchanen controlling him for the moment. Clarke is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Kendall Clarke dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Buchanen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Clarke has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Clarke and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Buchanen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Clarke's head backwards. Clarke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buchanen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Clarke somewhat. The fighters circling - Clarke throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nice defenses there by Buchanen. Buchanen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Buchanen throws a head kick that misses. Clarke thows a left - swing and a miss! Buchanen stuffs the takedown attempt from Clarke. Clarke gets slowly back to his feet. Clarke throws a big shot that misses. Clarke has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Clarke there as he acknowledges the shot.
 It looks like Kendall Clarke has been cut. Buchanen throws a head kick that misses. Buchanen fails to land the takedown. Buchanen shoots for a double leg takedown but Clarke sprawls well. He's pushed Buchanen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Buchanen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Clarke sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Buchanen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Clarke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Buchanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Buchanen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Clarke is trying to keep an underhook but Buchanen manages to get the takedown into half guard. Clarke makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Clarke. Buchanen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Buchanen prevents Clarke from getting back to his feet.

Fernandez throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Ivanov colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Fernandez as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Ivanov is left battered and dazed whilst Fernandez and his camp cheer!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with an uppercut. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jones slips under a jab. Welch pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Welch scores with a decent looking hook. Jones throws a series of punches but Welch moves out of range. Jones cracks Welch with a right hand to the side of the head. Welch throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones. Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jones slips a straight right by Welch. Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones swinging wildly here.

Welch staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Welch doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
