Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexey Turmarrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 37 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dwight Shrute! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turmarrov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shrute sprawls well initially but Turmarrov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Turmarrov drops an elbow to the side of Shrute's head. Shrute is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Turmarrov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Turmarrov's back! Turmarrov defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Turmarrov wants to escape the position.
Shrute goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Turmarrov escapes and is now in half guard on top. Turmarrov scores with a couple of good hammerfists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shrute taking some punishment here, with Turmarrov in his half guard. Turmarrov stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turmarrov landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Shrute regains full guard. Nicely done. Turmarrov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Shrute keeping full guard, as Turmarrov tries to pass. Shrute working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turmarrov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turmarrov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Turmarrov works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shrute on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turmarrov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Shrute is defending against the submission attempts here by Turmarrov.
Nice strikes from Turmarrov there. Shrute is rocked! Shrute pushes Turmarrov off looking to stand but Turmarrov dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Turmarrov controlling the position here and throwing strikes from the top. Nice elbow lands there... and another... and another... oh, Shrute is out! Turmarrov gets to his feet and admires his work - nice finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mazepin dives in for a single leg takedown but Gayweather sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Gayweather appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Mazepin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mazepin there as he acknowledges the shot. It looks like Fedor Mazepin has been cut. Oooh a lovely combination from Gayweather sends Mazepin down but not out. Gayweather dives into side control looking to finish. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A lull in the action here as Gayweather stalls from top position. Mazepin is trying to improve his position. Gayweather lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The crowd goes nuts as Gayweather knocks Mazepin out cold with a massive hammerfist! Gayweather Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Wilson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Franco swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wilson postures up and lands a big shot to Franco's brow. Wilson is looking to work some ground and pound but Franco has wrist control. Wilson postures up in Franco's guard and throws a big left but Franco blocks it. Wilson throwing strikes but missing. Franco keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully. We've been hearing that Wilson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovacs blocks a head kick by Adams.
Adams scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. We've been told by Adams's head coaches at Kaptajnernes Træningscenter that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kovacs gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Kovacs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Adams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kovacs.
Adams swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kovacs. Adams moves away from the strike by Kovacs. Kovacs jabs Adams to the body, keeping him at a distance. Adams defending well as Kovacs loads up on a big left hand. A little feinted left hand from Adams on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kovacs misses with a looping right. Adams's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kovacs under the eye. Adams throws a series of strikes that have Kovacs backpedaling.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Adams lands a big head kick that sends Kovacs tumbling to the mat! Adams takes a step backwards and waves Kovacs back to his feet - he wants the finish! Kovacs is rocked! Adams fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Kovacs to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Kovacs looks to clinch but Adams throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Kovacs taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Atunes throws a looping overhand right but Zuev ducks down to avoid it. Atunes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Atunes needs to keep his hands up - Zuev had a free shot at his head there. Atunes walks into a jab. Atunes tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Zuev is able to avoid easily. As Zuev backs off Atunes throws a huge counter combo but Zuev manages to avoid it all. Atunes swings away with a leg kick that misses. Zuev was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Atunes throws a body shot but no joy. Atunes throws a solid leg kick but Zuev takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Atunes. Zuev jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Zuev misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zuev throws the left hand but Atunes avoids the punch easily. Zuev has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Atunes. Zuev tries to clinch but Atunes is having none of it. Zuev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Atunes. Atunes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Zuev throws a series of strikes that have Atunes backpedaling.

and Zuev counters with a left and a right that stings Atunes. Atunes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Zuev throws a shot from downtown. Atunes moves away and avoids it. and Zuev counters with a nice body shot. Zuev feints and then cracks Atunes's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Atunes down. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Atunes lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zuev misses with a jab, cross combination.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aleksandr Zuev. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zuev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
