With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zakee Mckee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonah Morah! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckee lands a glancing blow to the side of Morah's head. The crowd cheers as Mckee lands an impressive looking overhand right. Morah doesn't seem phased though. It looks like Jonah Morah has been cut. No joy there for Morah, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mckee moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Zakee Mckee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Morah does no damage. Mckee throws a head kick but Morah moves out of range.
Mckee lands a nice shot that snaps Morah's head back.
Mckee scores with a sloppy right hand. Morah should have avoided that one. Mckee tries to clinch up but Morah circles away and keeps his distance. Morah swinging wildly here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mckee wants to clinch up but Morah keeps it at a distance. Whack! Mckee lands a heavy head kick that drops Morah. The ref tackles Mckee to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Morah was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuevas scoring well with a low kick there.
Cuevas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bryant thinks about the counter body kick. Cuevas tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bryant swivels and escapes. A combination from Cuevas does no damage. Bryant lands a big uppercut and Cuevas crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cuevas looks OK. Bryant waves Cuevas back to his feet! It looks like Demetrius Cuevas has been cut. Cuevas looks to clinch and Bryant counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Cuevas badly! Bryant follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Cuevas out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Bryant finished him against the ropes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Alvarez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Alvarez softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Alvarez avoiding damage.
Alvarez lands a shot to the body. Alvarez works on Smith's body with a couple of short punches. Alvarez manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Alvarez lands with a short head shot on the inside. With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Alvarez creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Alvarez has Smith pressed against the ropes, preventing Smith from circling away and getting back to striking at range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alvarez effectively controlling the action here. A shot in the inside from Alvarez. Alvarez lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Alvarez lands with a light punch inside. Alvarez is leaning against Smith and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Smith is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarez effectively controlling the action here. Alvarez throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Smiths head. Alvarez lands a left hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards. Alvarez leaning his opponent against the ropes. Alvarez's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Alvarez working some nice short punches in the clinch. Alvarez is leaning against Smith and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Nice body punch from Alvarez. That's two minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. A short body shot lands from Alvarez as the two fighters clinch.
Alvarez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Alvarez scores with a shot to the side of Smith's head. Smith is rocked! A head punch on the inside from Alvarez fails to land. Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Alvarez swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Smith seems to have got his legs back now. A short right from Alvarez on the inside. Alvarez lands a hook to the side of the head. Alvarez pushes Smith back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. A hook to the body from Alvarez.

Alvarez presses Smith against the ropes and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Alvarez gets through Smith's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Alvarez displaying some good clinch control by pressing Smith up against the ropes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Alvarez takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A short right from Alvarez. Alvarez lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Smith to his knees! Alvarez keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joao Alvarez! Joao Alvarez was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! York throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tanaka holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. York looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Tanaka lands a body punch in the clinch. Tanaka tightens his grip and picks York up, before dumping him to the ground. York manages to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tanaka controls from within his opponent's guard. Tanaka has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tanaka connects with a couple of short punches. York is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Tanaka stands up and waves to York to follow him. Tanaka has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tanaka tightens his grip and picks York up, before dumping him to the ground. York manages to land in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if York can do anything to dispel that myth. York being controlled here, momentarily. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Tanaka throws a big elbow that misses. York really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanaka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tanaka sitting in guard here, content to control. Tanaka trying to control the position from guard on top but York is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tanaka would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Tanaka showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. York keeping full guard, as Tanaka tries to pass.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanaka drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. York can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tanaka controls the pace. Tanaka scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Tanaka stops York from standing up. Tanaka wants to get up but he can't break York's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanaka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tanaka passes York's left leg - he's now in half guard. Tanaka wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Tanaka slips a nice elbow through York's hands, connecting with York's forehead. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tanaka working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshi Tanaka dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Tanaka fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tanaka rushes York and presses him up against the ropes. Tanaka lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tanaka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so York is just riding it out for now. Tanaka eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Tanaka works his way into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. York is not content to let Tanaka control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because York is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Tanaka is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that York can do to turn this around? York gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Tanaka is landing with some decent strikes but York is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tanaka trying to control but York is having none of it. Tanaka tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. York is in a horrible position here. Tanaka smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Tanaka is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. York can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. York is squirming around, avoiding Tanaka's attempts to control the action. Tanaka takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tanaka with the ground and pound from mount. Tanaka is standing up, even though he is in mount. Tanaka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. York tries to kick Tanaka off in order to stand up. Tanaka Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. York gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Tanaka can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as York is looking to escape. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tanaka gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hiroshi Tanaka dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Tanaka misses with the combination.
York shapes to counter with a head kick. Tanaka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tanaka stands up and we're back to a striking position. York gets caught napping as Tanaka dives in and scores a takedown. York manages to retain guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. York keeping moving, preventing Tanaka from controlling successfully. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanaka is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Tanaka landing some decent shots from guard. Tanaka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Tanaka advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tanaka tries for a kimura but York is defending well. Tanaka trying to control the position but York is working away. Hiroshi Tanaka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tanaka controlling the position from side mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanaka is working York over with some ground and pound from side control. Tanaka decides to stand back up. Tanaka steps back and let's York get back to his feet. Tanaka misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from York.
Tanaka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. York looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. York tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Tanaka just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. York is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight! Hiroshi Tanaka showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tanaka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Herny as he connects with a hook. Sanyu works Herny's body with a nice hook. Sanyu connects with a body shot that sends Herny's belly button to the back. Herny misses with a left hand and Sanyu counters with a left and a right that stings Herny. Sanyu drops his hands momentarily and Herny takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Herny misses with a takedown attempt and Sanyu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. It looks like Alexis Herny has been cut. Sanyu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Herny throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Sanyu to counter with a crisp jab. Herny is rocked! Herny misses with an uppercut
and Sanyu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Herny is still on wobbly legs! Can Sanyu finish him? Herny takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Herny looks winded! Herny misses with a takedown and Sanyu counters with a crisp right that sends Herny to the canvas! Sanyu follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Can Sawyer finish him? Bin bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Sawyer comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Bin falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Bin was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthias Schmitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Okropir! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schmitt lands a nice looking body shot.
Okropir takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Schmitt lands a high kick!
It looks like Peter Okropir has been cut. Schmitt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Okropir clinches up with Schmitt and pushes him back against the ropes. Schmitt scores with a shot to the side of Okropir's head. Okropir has a couple of punches blocked by Schmitt.
Schmitt is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Okropir has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Schmitt regains guard immediately. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Okropir is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Schmitt is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Schmitt has escaped and now he's on top! Okropir might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schmitt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Okropir has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Schmitt has passed into side control.
Schmitt looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. You can see the frustration on Okropir's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Okropir is trying to get back to his feet. Schmitt tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Okropir wants to get back to his feet but Schmitt is dominant here and he's now got Okropir's back!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Okropir trying to get back to his feet but Schmitt is in full control for now. Schmitt decides to get back to his feet. A strange decision but one that the crowd certainly appreciate.

Matthias Schmitt dominated that round. The cut man is working on Peter Okropir's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Schmitt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Schmitt clinches up against the ropes. Schmitt landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Okropir wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Schmitt has him pressed against the ropes. Schmitt lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Okropir avoiding damage as Schmitt throws knees to the body.
Schmitt is fighting off a takedown attempt but Okropir is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Schmitt to the mat. Schmitt regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Okropir wants to control from the top but Schmitt keeps moving. Okropir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Schmitt is keeping the position for now. We've been informed that Okropir has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Okropir prevents Schmitt from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okropir gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Matthias Schmitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Okropir dives in and scores a takedown into Schmitt's guard. Okropir wants to control from the top but Schmitt keeps moving. Okropir throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schmitt works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Okropir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Schmitt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Okropir, into his guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Okropir is working an open guard so Schmitt takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schmitt moves into range and connects with a jab. Okropir instigates a clinch. Schmitt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Okropir can do to turn this around? Schmitt lands a body shot in the clinch.
Schmitt gets through Okropir's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Schmitt stalls. Nice body punch from Schmitt - that landed with a thud.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Okropir lands a takedown into guard.
Okropir wants to pass the guard but Schmitt is keeping the position. Schmitt is looking to stand up but Okropir isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Okropir stands and steps away. Schmitt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Schmitt changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Okropir takes a shot right to the bread basket. Schmitt scores with a head kick. Okropir tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Schmitt's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Schmitt duly obliges. Schmitt has taken the fight to the clinch.
Schmitt manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Schmitt is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Okropir is defending well for now. Schmitt scores with a nice hook to the head. Okropir is rocked! A right hook to the body lands for Schmitt.
Okropir is still on wobbly legs! Can Schmitt finish him? Schmitt lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Okropir is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schmitt throws a big uppercut that drops Okropir! More strikes from Schmitt and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Okropir lies dazed against the ropes as Schmitt celebrates with his cornermen!
