Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neil Park! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barrett Vasquez! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Park pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Park throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vasquez is looking for the big counter here. Park slaps away a takedown attempt from Vasquez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Vasquez looks winded! Park misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Park fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Park in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Park tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasquez is retaining full guard. Vasquez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Park knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vasquez on the ground. Park had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vasquez defends it easily. Park has a loose triangle. And that's the end of the fight! Neil Park showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Park, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
