The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patryk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bjornsson pinned against the cage. Bjornsson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Patryk gets caught flat footed, as Bjornsson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bjornsson working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like Bjornsson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Bjornsson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Patryk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bjornsson is taking a breather. Patryk says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bjornsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Patryk keeps working.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bjornsson tries for a takedown but Patryk manages to get underhooks.
Bjornsson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Patryk backwards.

Patryk manages to break the clinch.

Bjornsson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Patryk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Patryk sneaks out the side door and pushes Bjornsson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Bjornsson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Patryk kicks Bjornsson off and gets back to his feet.
Lukasz Patryk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lukasz Patryk will probably get the nod.

Bjornsson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
