Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rio Campos! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Roosa J�rvil�inen.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson tries to avoid it but Campos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Anderson lands an overhand right. Anderson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Anderson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Campos. Campos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Anderson but Anderson pushes him off and we're back to square one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Campos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Campos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Campos has a closed guard, preventing Anderson from standing up.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Frank Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.  That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. A combination from Anderson does no damage. Campos has a takedown stuffed. Anderson appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Anderson throws a sloppy head kick and Campos moves out of range easily. Nice uppercut lands for Anderson. That snapped Campos's head back.
Anderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Campos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rio Campos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Campos goes for a double leg but Anderson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Anderson continues to drive forward. Anderson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Anderson lands a nice hook to Campos's body. Campos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Anderson wants to clinch up but Campos keeps it at a distance. Anderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Stepping on the scales for a second time, he still failed to make the required weight and after much deliberation, his fight with Ricardo Lopez was cancelled. |

Fields fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Klein fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fields manages to avoid it. Fields ducks under a wild hook from Klein. Fields staying out of range there. Klein lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Melvin Klein is winning the standup battle so far. A jab from Klein misses. Fields steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Klein. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fields tries to close the distance and clinch but Klein swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Klein stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Klein wants it to stay on the feet. Klein looks to score with a jab to the body but Fields is just out of range. Klein fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Klein throws a hook to the side of Fields's head but Fields sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fields lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Klein swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A swing and a miss from Klein. Klein throws a jab when Fields was well out of range. Fields doesn't manage to clinch there - Klein circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fields is defended easily by Klein. Melvin Klein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Enzo Fields. The fighters circle momentarily. Klein darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Klein throws a big shot that misses. Klein throws a hook but Fields avoids it easily. Klein loads up on a big right hand but Fields slips the punch. Fields ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Klein lands a glancing blow to the side of Fields's head. Fields looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Klein is fending him off so far but Fields persists. Nope, Klein circles away and we're back to standing. Fields is breathing heavily. Fields displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Klein throws out the jab. Melvin Klein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Klein comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Fields takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fields slips a jab from Klein. Fields drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Klein defends it well. Klein looks to score with a jab to the body but Fields is just out of range. Fields doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Klein jabs Fields to the body, keeping him at a distance. Klein throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fields was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Klein connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Klein misses with a left hand and Fields counters with a three punch combo that has Klein backing up. Klein nods at Fields to acknowledge the strikes. A cross from Klein lands. Fields walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Fields takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fields is rocked! Klein tests Fields's chin there with a solid looking shot. Fields is still on wobbly legs! Can Klein finish him? Fields takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fields will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fields moves out of range as Klein strikes. Fields seems to have recovered his senses.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Klein waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fields. Klein with a jab. Klein fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Klein swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Klein scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fields in his tracks. Klein lands a nice hook to Fields's body. Fields takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Fields takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fields walks straight into a right hand from Klein - that's dropped him! Klein jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Fields from any more punishment! Fields complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curtis closes the distance and clinches up with Pushkin, looking for a takedown. Curtis pushes Pushkin against the cage but Pushkin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Pushkin seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Curtis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pushkin's guard. Curtis trying to control the position from guard on top but Pushkin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Curtis pushing down on Pushkin's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Pushkin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Curtis moves nicely into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perera leaves Patuga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Patuga looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Patuga moves in looking to clinch but Perera pushes him off. Patuga throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perera sees it coming and avoids it easily. Perera throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Patuga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Perera avoids it really well and circles away. Perera gets a clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Patuga throws an elbow but misses. Perera lands a hook to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Perera lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Patuga is rocked!

Patuga is still on wobbly legs! Can Perera finish him? A head punch blocked on the inside by Patuga. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Perera. Perera has a couple of punches blocked by Patuga.
Patuga seems to have recovered his senses. Perera lands a nice uppercut. A shot in the inside from Perera. Patuga jumps guard but Perera stands there with Patuga around his waist. Patuga gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Indio Perera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noli Patuga. Perera creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Patuga with a big uppercut! Patuga tries to clinch up but Perera pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Patuga to the mat! Patuga covers up and Perera unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
