Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Phishiji Baba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Elias Gracie! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baba misses with a hook. Gracie with the counter takedown but Baba avoids it easily. A lazy left from Baba finds it's target. Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baba. Gracie changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Gracie moves away from the strike by Baba. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baba jabs Gracie right on the nose. Gracie blinks but takes it well. Baba throws a hook but Gracie avoids it easily. Baba throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. And Gracie tries to counter it with a takedown but Baba pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Gracie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Baba throws out the jab. Gracie feints the counter takedown. Gracie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Baba scores with a hook to the body. Gracie takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Phishiji Baba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A left and a right from Baba both land. Nice combination. Phishiji Baba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baba misses with a combination
and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie tries to pass the half guard into mount. Baba knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Gracie has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Baba defend it? Gracie steps over the head and cranks it - Baba is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Gracie!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Elias Gracie! Elias Gracie tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanma tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valverde swivels and escapes. Hanma shoots in and drives through. Valverde sprawls well. Hanma looks for a takedown but Valverde sprawls well. Carlos Valverde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baki Hanma. Hanma defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Valverde. Hanma drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Valverde defends it well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valverde preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Valverde is pulling down on Hanma's head to control his posture.

Hanma tries to free his leg and advance position but Valverde is retaining full guard. Hanma slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hanma creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Valverde sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Hanma working the head and body with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hanma connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Valverde some visible discomfort.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Viktor. Viktor misses with a straight left. Inoue was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Viktor throws a lazy body kick and Viktor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Inoue chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Viktor can pounce on him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Viaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ferrell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ferrell went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Viaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ferrell counters by moving into the clinch. Ferrell crunches a lovely knee into Viaz's ribcage. Ferrell is trying to trip Viaz. He has hold of a leg but Viaz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Ferrell persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Viaz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ferrell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Penn lets go of the hold and Hancock can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mikael Li! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Boone! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boone moves into range and clinches up with Li. Boone wants the takedown. Li is fighting it off but Boone persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Li's guard against the cage. Boone throwing strikes from guard but Li blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boone has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Li is proving hard to escape from. Boone distracts Li with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Li has momentary wrist control but Boone slips an elbow through the middle. Li keeping moving, preventing Boone from controlling successfully. Boone content to stall in guard here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Li is looking for a triangle but Boone pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boone slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Boone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Li working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Li is tightening it up a little... Boone has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Boone reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Boone taps out! Nice BJJ there by Li!
