Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tatsura Konogawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Duncan Vazquez!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vazquez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Konogawa avoids it really well and circles away.
Vazquez goes for a double leg but Konogawa avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Konogawa continues to drive forward.
Duncan Vazquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vazquez connects with a nice short shot to Konogawa's temple.

It looked like Konogawa was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

That was a close round but I would say that Tatsura Konogawa will probably get the nod.

Vazquez has Konogawa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Konogawa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Konogawa jumps guard and drags Vazquez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vazquez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Konogawa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
