Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jermaine Pearson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Garry Hobbs! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hobbs lands a nice looking body shot.
Pearson dives in and scores a takedown into Hobbs's guard. Hobbs is trying to control the position but Pearson postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pearson looking to pass the guard.

Pearson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hobbs looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pearson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pearson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Pearson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Pearson wants to control but Hobbs is keeping him busy. Pearson in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Sansho throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Spagnolo works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sansho has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Sansho tries to free his leg and advance position but Spagnolo is retaining full guard. That was a close round but I would say that Ryobi Sansho will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mark Spagnolo's cut. That's time! Sansho's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sansho is trying to drag Spagnolo to the mat but Spagnolo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sansho tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spagnolo smiles and moves away.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Sansho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spagnolo manages to avoid it. Sansho takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sansho misses with a hook. Good exchange - Sansho coming out on top. This has been an exciting period of action! Spagnolo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sansho. Sansho circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Spagnolo lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sansho takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sansho looks to land a right hand but Spagnolo moved out of range. Spagnolo has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Spagnolo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sansho at a distance.
Spagnolo dives in for a single leg takedown but Sansho sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Spagnolo tries to clinch up but Sansho circles away and keeps his distance. Sansho takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ryobi Sansho is winning the standup battle so far. Sansho swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Spagnolo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sansho drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Spagnolo ducks under a wild hook from Sansho. Sansho throws a body shot but no joy. Spagnolo thumps Sansho with a low kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Spagnolo sizes up Sansho with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sansho takes a swing at Spagnolo's ribcage but misses. Spagnolo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Spagnolo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sansho. Spagnolo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sansho on the side of the head. Sansho looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Spagnolo connects with a crisp jab. Spagnolo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sansho. Nice straight punches there by Spagnolo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Spagnolo. Sansho tries to bum rush Spagnolo with a series of wild strikes but Spagnolo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A left and a right from Sansho both land. Nice combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A swing and a miss from Sansho. Nice shot lands for Sansho. Spagnolo staying out of range there. Sansho scores with a jab to the body. Sansho swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Spagnolo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sansho. Spagnolo cracks Sansho with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Spagnolo instigates a clinch. Spagnolo throws a head punch that misses. Mark Spagnolo seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Spagnolo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Spagnolo. Spagnolo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spagnolo walks away with a smile on his face. Sansho gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sansho throws an overhand right that lands on Spagnolo's shoulder, as Spagnolo tries to avoid the shot. A shot to the liver by Sansho. Beautiful body shot. Sansho looks to land a right hand but Spagnolo moved out of range. Sansho throws out a loose jab but Spagnolo uses good head movement to avoid it. Spagnolo wants to counter with a clinch but Sansho pushes him away. Sansho throws a series of punches but Spagnolo moves out of range. Sansho swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Spagnolo wants to counter with a clinch but Sansho pushes him away. Sansho shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Sansho is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Sansho waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Spagnolo. Spagnolo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Sansho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spagnolo manages to avoid it. Sansho misses with a looping left. Sansho throws a lazy right hand but Spagnolo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Spagnolo wants to counter with a clinch but Sansho pushes him away. Sansho tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spagnolo was well out of range. Poor timing from Sansho. A nice combination there by Sansho.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spagnolo moves into range and clinches up with Sansho. Spagnolo lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Sansho wants to take the fight to the mat but Spagnolo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryobi Sansho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sansho is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Spagnolo is defending well. Sansho tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Spagnolo just stands there and leans against the cage. Spagnolo lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Spagnolo lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sansho backwards. Sansho is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Spagnolo pulls him back up using the underhooks. Spagnolo is pressed up against the cage. Sansho has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spagnolo down to the mat. Spagnolo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Sansho takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sansho takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice shot lands for Spagnolo. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sansho throws a body punch but Spagnolo moves out of range. Crunch! Spagnolo slams his shin into Sansho's torso. Sansho looks to land a combination but Spagnolo avoids it well. Sansho swinging wildly here.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Birdwhistle. Birdwhistle looks to land a left hand but Nijjar moved out of range nicely. Birdwhistle throws a poor cross that misses
and Nijjar counters with a stiff right hand. Birdwhistle shoots for a double leg takedown but Nijjar sprawls well. He's pushed Birdwhistle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Birdwhistle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nijjar. Nijjar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Birdwhistle has time to react. Birdwhistle shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nijjar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Birdwhistle on the side of the head. Nijjar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Birdwhistle.
Birdwhistle closes the distance and pushes Nijjar back into the cage. Nijjar lands a nice uppercut. Nijjar has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nijjar is stalling here.

 That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Birdwhistle holds on and takes a little breather. Birdwhistle looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nijjar is one step ahead there. Birdwhistle has Nijjar pulled in close to control his posture.
Birdwhistle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nijjar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nijjar has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Birdwhistle to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nijjar is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Birdwhistle pulls down on the head and he's put Nijjar to sleep! This one is all over!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krause with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sansho takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Edward Krause seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sansho on the wrong end of a nice jab. Krause wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sansho looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Krause throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sansho counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sansho slips under a jab from Krause. Krause takes a swing at Sansho's ribcage but misses. Krause looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Sansho lands a jab to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sansho waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Krause. Krause lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Krause lands a head shot. Krause lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Krause does it's job there.

Sansho will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sansho falls back against the cage and Krause unloads with a barrage of strikes! Sansho is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Krause screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shioda waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sakamoto. Shioda uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sakamoto has time to react. Sakamoto swings away with a leg kick that misses. Shioda's corner calls for a 1-2. Shioda obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Sakamoto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shioda ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Sakamoto takes a jab right on the kisser.

Shioda smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Shioda uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sakamoto.
Sakamoto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shioda. Nice shot by Shioda. Sakamoto swings for the body but Shioda moves out of range.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Shioda throws a pinpoint strike between Sakamoto's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Sakamoto crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Shioda scores a great knockout victory!
