John James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Villegas seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. James shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Villegas is backing up but James catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Villegas covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Potts tries to clinch up but Daniels circles away and keeps his distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
