The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivet dodges the punch combination from Buendia.
Buendia misses with a series of wild punches.
Buendia throws a sloppy head kick and Rivet moves out of range easily. Buendia is looking to land body kicks. Buendia tries to clinch but Rivet is having none of it. Rivet looks to score with a jab to the body but Buendia is just out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buendia is looking to clinch. Buendia finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Buendia moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Buendia tries to clinch but Rivet moves out of range.

and Rivet counters with a stiff right hand. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rivet, as that shot connected.

Buendia swings away with a leg kick that misses. Rivet checks a leg kick nicely. Buendia takes a shot right to the bread basket. Buendia throws a jab when Rivet was well out of range.

Rivet thows a body shot but no joy. Buendia throws a body kick that misses. Buendia keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Buendia is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rivet takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Buendia throws a series of punches but Rivet avoids them all with ease. Rivet checks a leg kick. Buendia looks to land a combination but Rivet avoids it well. Buendia throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Buendia throws a low kick but Rivet moves out of range easily. Rivet uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Buendia. Jose Buendia seems to be getting the better of the standup. Rivet throws a body punch but Buendia moves out of range. Buendia doesn't manage to clinch there - Rivet circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A shot to the body from Buendia misses and Rivet counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Buendia throws a head kick but Rivet moves out of range.
Buendia wants to land a leg kick but Rivet is out of range. Rivet checks a low kick from Buendia. Buendia wants to clinch. Buendia is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buendia misses with a combination
letting Rivet counter with a right hand. Rivet displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Buendia throws out the jab. Buendia is looking to clinch but Rivet is avoiding it.
Buendia misses with a straight right. Buendia misses the body punch and Rivet counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buendia throws a hook but Rivet avoids it easily. Rivet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Buendia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Buendia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A leg kick checked by Ricardo. Ricardo throws a right and a left that Dinh avoids nicely. Ricardo scores with a hook to the body. Dinh takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ricardo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dinh has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Thien Dinh has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Dinh tries to clinch but Ricardo is having none of it. Dinh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ricardo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dinh passes into side control.
Dinh misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Dinh misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ricardo is looking to reverse the position. Dinh swings around for an armbar but Ricardo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dinh's guard. Ricardo trying to control the position from guard on top but Dinh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dinh preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ricardo content to stall in guard here. Ricardo slips nicely into half guard. Ricardo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dinh blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ricardo. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dinh works his way to full guard. Good work. Ricardo won't allow Dinh to sweep him here. Ricardo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dinh manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ricardo sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Dinh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ricardo is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ricardo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ricardo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ricardo trying to control but Dinh is working from the bottom. Ricardo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ricardo is breathing heavily. Ricardo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dinh's guard. Dinh is looking to improve his position.
Ricardo works his foot free and advances to mount. Dinh taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ricardo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Dinh takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dinh tries to hold on but Ricardo pushes him away. Dinh is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Ricardo. Ricardo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dinh has worked his arm free - good work by Dinh!
Dinh avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ricardo. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dinh is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Ricardo tries to pass to full mount but Dinh defends it. Ricardo is looking for a kimura but Dinh is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ricardo to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This one is all over!

Benitez lands a jab-cross combination. Benitez throws a head kick that misses. Benitez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Albright tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Benitez throws a head kick that misses. Benitez scores with a jab. Albright acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
