With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Morgan Wood! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood throws a poor cross that misses
and Dobrosavljevic Junior counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Morgan Wood has been cut. Morgan Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dobrosavljevic Junior throws a combination. Wood tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Wood drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wood working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wood throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Wood lands a nice forearm strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wood moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Wood lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Dobrosavljevic Junior's face as Wood controls the position. Wood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Dobrosavljevic Junior takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Let's hope that Wood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that is the end of the round. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wood connects with a nice short shot to Dobrosavljevic Junior's temple. Wood looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wood throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dobrosavljevic Junior dips to his left and cracks Wood with an uppercut!
Wood drives through with a takedown into guard. Wood's corner is telling him to maintain position. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Wood. Wood postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Wood stays in close to Dobrosavljevic Junior's body and controls the position. Wood tries to free his leg and advance position but Dobrosavljevic Junior is retaining full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wood's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Wood working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dobrosavljevic Junior's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wood is looking to clinch but Dobrosavljevic Junior is avoiding it.

Wood shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dobrosavljevic Junior but Dobrosavljevic Junior pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dobrosavljevic Junior appears to be looking for a big counter. Wood drops his hands momentarily and Dobrosavljevic Junior takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Wood swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mootoosamy enables Komarov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mootoosamy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Komarov stands and throws Mootoosamy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Komarov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Komarov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mootoosamy is trying to control Komarov's posture but Komarov avoids it.
Komarov has hold of Mootoosamy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mootoosamy seems comfortable defending it but Komarov has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mootoosamy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mootoosamy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Komarov couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Jim closes the distance and clinches. Jim is trying to force a seperation but Chaney has the dominant position. Chaney drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chaney gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chaney is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jim pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jim wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Chaney has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chaney wants a takedown.

Jim swivels though and keeps the full guard. Chaney seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Chaney will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Chaney is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jim has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Jim works his foot free and advances to mount. Jim scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Chaney?

Holloweigh wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Shukur gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Holloweigh is looking to land body kicks.
