Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Arthur Horton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kai Kataski! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kataski takes the fight into the clinch. Horton tries to circle away but Kataski has him pinned against the cage. Kataski swings wildly with an uppercut but Horton uses good head movement to avoid it. Kataski misses with the head strike.

I was talking to Horton's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Kataski dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Kataski working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dahan. Blood looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Blood fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Dahan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Blood counters with a series of strikes. Dahan will be more careful next time no doubt. Blood lands a head kick!

and Dahan counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Dahan tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blood defends well and Dahan ends up having to push Blood into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Blood defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dahan.
Dahan gets tackled into the cage by Blood. Blood maintains the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blood wants the takedown. Dahan is fighting it off but Blood persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dahan's guard against the cage. Blood stands and throws Dahan's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dahan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Blood throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dahan is not content to let Blood control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dahan can do anything to dispel that myth. Dahan struggling a bit here. Blood trying to control the action but Dahan is working from the bottom. Blood slows the pace down. Dahan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Blood stands up and we're back to a striking position. Blood throws a right and a left that both miss. Blood misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Dahan counters with a takedown into side control.

Dahan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Blood wants to stand up but Dahan is controlling him. Blood seems keen to control Dahan's posture. Dahan wants to control from the top but Blood keeps moving.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Blood throws a good cross that connects.
No joy there for Blood, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Blood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dahan keeps working. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Blood lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dahan circles away quickly and effectively. Blood feints and then cracks Dahan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dahan down. Younger Blood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dahan fails with a takedown attempt.

We've been informed that Dahan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Dahan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dahan wants to sweep here but Blood controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Sylwester Goryl has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Salvador Orivarez. Orivarez misses with a takedown attempt and Goryl counters with a left right combination that sends Orivarez crashing to the mat - Goryl wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Orivarez out for a TKO!
