The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuznetsov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martinez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Martinez shoots in looking for a takedown. Kuznetsov tries to sprawl out of it but Martinez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kuznetsov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And Kuznetsov tries to counter it with a takedown but Martinez pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Kuznetsov throws a half hearted mid kick.
Kuznetsov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Martinez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kuznetsov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown but Kuznetsov shows good takedown defense.

Martinez gets a takedown into half guard.
Martinez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kuznetsov!
Martinez lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Martinez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Kuznetsov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martinez is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Kuznetsov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martinez prevents Kuznetsov from getting the reversal.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gigante looks for a takedown but Cage sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gigante is defended easily by Cage.
Gigante tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cage defends well and Gigante ends up having to push Cage into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tout Petit Gigante. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cage misses with some punches.

Gigante pulls guard.
Cage not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Gigante is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cage defends well.
Cage must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gigante pushes a forearm under Cage's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cage is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moussa Dje (ranked 1583 p4p, 1128 weight class) and Brayden Smith (ranked 189 p4p, 139 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Smith's choice of entrance music: Thick of it. Brayden Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! Dje will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Smith looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dje looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Smith throws a counter combo.
Dje shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smith lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moussa Dje. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dje moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dje tries to score a power double leg takedown but Smith sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dje somewhat.
Smith misses the shot to the body.
Dje attempts a counter takedown but Smith avoids it well and moves away.

Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Dje is just out of range.

Dje looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Dje shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Dje's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into Dje's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dje looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dje is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Smith frees his head nicely. Oh but Dje has switched to an armbar! Smith is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
