Velazquez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Velazquez tries to close the distance and clinch but Gonzalez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rodger McGregor had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stephenson enables Harrington to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stephenson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
