Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23395 p4p, 23153 weight class) and Clifford Val Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 56 - 75 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 94 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Val Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Salvacion closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Amiga is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salvacion in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amiga keeping hold of Salvacion's head, controlling as best he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salvacion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Amiga darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Salvacion is trying is best to control the position here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Salvacion has a hand on Amiga's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Amiga takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Salvacion tries to lock up and control but Amiga gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Gakus Amiga will probably get the nod.
That's time! Amiga's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Amiga shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Amiga was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Salvacion tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Amiga wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Amiga throws an elbow but Salvacion slips to the side and avoids it well.

Amiga misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
You can see the frustration on Salvacion's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Amiga shoots in and drives through. Salvacion sprawls well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Salvacion misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Amiga feinted with a counter takedown.
Salvacion shoots in for a double leg but Amiga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Salvacion gets tackled into the cage by Amiga. Amiga maintains the clinch.

Amiga is pressed up against the cage. Salvacion has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Amiga down to the mat. Amiga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clifford Val Salvacion.

Salvacion is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Amiga is keen to just control but Salvacion is a slippery customer.
Amiga is figuring out what he wants to do next.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Amiga seems a little lost for a moment, as Salvacion dominates the positioning.

Gakus Amiga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Salvacion is staying tight to Amiga's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Gakus Amiga is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Clifford Val Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Amiga is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salvacion can do to turn this around?
