Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 23372 p4p, 23150 weight class) and Kugus Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 49 - 83 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 68 - 62 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bitok is fending him off so far but Amiga persists. Nope, Bitok circles away and we're back to standing.

Bitok darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bitok throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bitok in particular looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amiga is controlling Bitok's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amiga wants to control but Bitok is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Amiga desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Bitok stalling.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Amiga fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bitok swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Bitok throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Amiga tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bitok is in Amiga's guard.

Bitok is fighting to break Amiga's control of his arms but Amiga is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bitok won't allow Amiga to sweep him here.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bitok is looking to work some ground and pound but Amiga has wrist control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bitok controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bitok fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Amiga replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Bitok blocks it well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kulata Bitok dominated that round.
That's time! Bitok's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bitok shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Amiga drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bitok defends it well.
Bitok fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Amiga counters with a body kick.
Bitok shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kulata Bitok. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Amiga gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bitok to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Amiga is continuing to stall.
Amiga is trying to control the position but Bitok postures up.
Amiga is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bitok preventing the sweep.
Bitok controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Amiga moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bitok shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Amiga fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Amiga stuffs the takedown.
Amiga thinks about the counter body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Amiga changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bitok looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bitok is letting Amiga control him for a moment.
You can see the frustration on Bitok's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bitok is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Amiga is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kugus Amiga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bitok tries to land a front kick but Amiga steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Amiga follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Amiga shoots for a double leg takedown but Bitok sprawls well. He's pushed Amiga's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Amiga leaves Bitok with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Amiga thinks about the counter body kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bitok is stalling in the full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Amiga is adopting a defensive guard.
Bitok is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Amiga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bitok trying to keep a closed guard but Amiga is proving a slippery customer.
Bitok has control of Amiga's left arm, preventing Amiga from doing any damage.
Amiga wants to control from the top but Bitok keeps moving.

Bitok is wriggling around but Amiga manages to pass to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kulata Bitok showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bitok has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
