And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giorgi Panjikdize!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panjikdize misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Gadzhiyev leaves Panjikdize with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Panjikdize tries to clinch there but Gadzhiyev circles away.
Abubakar Gadzhiyev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Panjikdize closes the distance and clinches.
Panjikdize stops a takedown attempt from Gadzhiyev.
Gadzhiyev goes for a takedown attempt but Panjikdize pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gadzhiyev closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gadzhiyev lands in his opponent's guard.
Panjikdize pushes Gadzhiyev off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Gadzhiyev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gadzhiyev winds up and cracks Panjikdize with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Gadzhiyev is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gadzhiyev connects with a nice short shot to Panjikdize's temple.
Gadzhiyev winds up and cracks Panjikdize with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Panjikdize is looking to escape.
Gadzhiyev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Panjikdize with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Gadzhiyev lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Gadzhiyev slips a nice elbow through Panjikdize's hands, connecting with Panjikdize's forehead.
Gadzhiyev maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Panjikdize could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gadzhiyev has cracked it and Panjikdize is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gadzhiyev!
