Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hudson Clarkson (ranked 3067 p4p, 2895 weight class) and Aki Kulku (ranked 319 p4p, 301 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hudson Clarkson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aki Kulku! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kulku looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Clarkson! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Clarkson tries to buck Kulku off but Kulku is having none of it. Clarkson can't do much from the bottom here. Clarkson stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Clarkson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clarkson struggling a bit here. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kulku throws a strike aimed at the side of Clarkson's head but Clarkson avoids it well. Clarkson is looking for a sweep. Clarkson really wants to buck Kulku off and get back to his feet. Kulku avoids the attempt from Clarkson to control. Kulku looking to finish with strikes here!
Clarkson wants to hold on but Kulku pushes him away. Clarkson is wriggling around trying to escape.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kulku avoids the attempt from Clarkson to control. Clarkson is trying desperately to improve position. Clarkson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kulku.
Clarkson tries to lock up and control but Kulku gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aki Kulku dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Kulku shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Clarkson napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Clarkson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Kulku working the ground and pound but Clarkson is defending the strikes. Clarkson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kulku wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.  The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Clarkson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Clarkson has Kulku pulled in close to control his posture.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Kulku advances position into side control! Clarkson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Clarkson is controlling Kulku's position as best he can from this difficult position. Clarkson is looking to escape.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Clarkson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Clarkson is trying to maintain the position but Kulku is very close to passing his half guard. Clarkson gets full guard. Kulku throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kulku working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Clarkson pulls Kulku in to control the position.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kulku shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kulku was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kulku has control of an arm but Clarkson manages to advance to Kulku's back! Clarkson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Kulku staying busy and making it hard for Clarkson to control. I would not like to be Kulku right now.

Kulku fending off the submission attempt from Clarkson. Kulku manages to reverse the position and now he's in Clarkson's guard. Nice work there by Kulku.

A close second round but Aki Kulku will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Kulku drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clarkson struggling a bit here. Clarkson tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clarkson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!  Hudson Clarkson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Clarkson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Clarkson controlling Kulku's posture. Kulku looking to pass the guard. Kulku postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Clarkson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kulku postures up.
Kulku has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Clarkson is controlling Kulku's posture.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kulku bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kulku throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Clarkson wants to control but Kulku postures up.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Kulku are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Clarkson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Clarkson can't do much from the bottom here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Aki Kulku comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kulku has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

With a record of 20 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Salvatore Coppola! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuujiro Hanma! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coppola keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hanma feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Coppola working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hanma.
Coppola is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Hanma presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Coppola scores a nice knee to the body.
Coppola tries to land knees in the clinch but Hanma avoids the damage to the body. Coppola tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hanma smiles and moves away.
Coppola misses with a takedown attempt - Hanma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Coppola chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Coppola ducks under a wild hook from Hanma. Coppola lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Coppola throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Coppola is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Coppola misses with a takedown attempt - Hanma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Hanma looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salvatore Coppola. That's going to take a lot out of him. Coppola looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Coppola fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hanma clinches up with Coppola and pushes him back against the cage. Coppola misses with a hook from the clinch. Coppola letting Hanma take a breather here. Coppola tries to pull guard but Hanma holds him up against the cage and eventually Coppola drops back down to his feet.

Coppola uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hanma. Hanma takes a swing at Coppola's ribcage but misses. Coppola fails with an attempt to clinch.
Coppola tries to close the distance and clinch but Hanma swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Coppola throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Coppola ducks right into an uppercut from Hanma.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice body punch from Hanma. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coppola. Despite the aggression on Hanma's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
The fight moves into the clinch position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hanma misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hanma stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Hanma lands a body punch. Hanma just leaning against Coppola, taking a breather. Coppola misses with a punch on the inside.
Coppola pushes off an throws an elbow but Hanma leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Hanma misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Coppola escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Coppola. Hanma doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Hanma lands with a shot to the body.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Coppola looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hanma is fending him off so far but Coppola persists. Nope, Hanma circles away and we're back to standing.
Coppola forces Hanma back against the cage and clinches. Hanma lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Coppola or not.
Hanma tightens his grip and picks Coppola up, before dumping him to the ground. Coppola manages to land in guard. Coppola is breathing heavily. Coppola can't keep his opponent in guard - Hanma advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hanma lands with a punch from half guard. Hanma seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coppola does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Coppola wants to improve his position but Hanma is controlling well.
Hanma looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hanma drops an elbow to the side of Coppola's head. Hanma wants to take a breather but Coppola is having none of it. Hanma is thwarting Coppola's attempts to control the position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hanma connects with a nice short shot to Coppola's temple.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanma looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hanma lands with a punch from half guard. Hanma landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hanma trying to control the action but Coppola is working from the bottom. Coppola is trying to stand up here but Hanma is controlling him well. Hanma winds up and cracks Coppola with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Coppola is not content to let Hanma control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hanma looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Coppola with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Coppola is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hanma is looking to take a break and control but Coppola is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Coppola regains full guard. Nicely done. Hanma makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hanma trying to control the position from guard on top but Coppola is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yuujiro Hanma dominated that round. That's time! Coppola's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Coppola is looking to chop away at Hanma's legs. Coppola shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hanma defends it nicely. Nice body punch from Hanma. Salvatore Coppola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coppola closes the distance and clinches up with Hanma, looking for a takedown. Coppola pushes Hanma against the cage but Hanma circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hanma now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Hanma connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Coppola throws a nice head kick!
Hanma throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Coppola tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hanma is in Coppola's guard. Hanma must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hanma postures up and lands a big shot to Coppola's brow.

Coppola is trying to get back to full guard. Hanma content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hanma working Coppola over with strikes. Coppola wants to get back to full guard. Coppola is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hanma scores with a couple of nice shots. Hanma lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Coppola is rocked! Hanma lands a big elbow - Coppola is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Hanma!

Yuujiro Hanma very nearly forgot to thank Sakura Style amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Kurtev closes the distance and clinches. Thongrak looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Kurtev is trying to pull guard but Thongrak turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Thongrak wants to stall.
Thongrak is pressed up against the cage. Kurtev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thongrak down to the mat. Thongrak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Thongrak misses with a straight left. Thongrak scores with a jab to the body.

Thongrak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thongrak shapes to counter with a head kick. Kurtev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Thongrak sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. We've been hearing reports that Kurtev has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Kurtev dives in for a single leg takedown but Thongrak sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Thongrak is pressed up against the cage. Kurtev has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thongrak down to the mat. Thongrak avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Thongrak with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kurtev is breathing heavily. Thongrak throws a quick inside leg kick. Kurtev fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kurtev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Thongrak swivels and escapes. Thongrak feints a counter leg kick. Thongrak fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kurtev.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Thongrak stuns Kurtev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Kurtev darts in trying to clinch and Thongrak makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kurtev really felt that one! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thongrak connects with a body shot that sends Kurtev's belly button to the back. Thongrak lands a really nice looking cross but Kurtev seems unphased.
An inside leg kick lands from Thongrak. Kurtev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thongrak's waist but Thongrak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kurtev off to one side. Thongrak stuns Kurtev with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Thongrak keeps Kurtev at a distance using the push kick.
Thongrak feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kurtev sprawling to the canvas! Kurtev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Thongrak finish him?!
Kurtev is rocked! Kurtev ducks into an uppercut from Thongrak and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pan Thongrak! Our winner, Pan Thongrak, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whyte Jr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Baum. Baum takes a body punch but keeps moving. Whyte Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baum. Baum moves into range and connects with a jab. Sloppy strikes from Baum. Those never looked like landing. Baum has been working on his boxing with his coaches at War Hound MMA in the buildup to the fight. Whyte Jr lands a nice looking body shot.

Baum misses with an uppercut
and Whyte Jr counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Baum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Baum looks to land a left hand but Whyte Jr moved out of range nicely. Whyte Jr thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Baum if he has to take too many more of those.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Whyte Jr throws a shot from downtown. Baum moves away and avoids it. Whyte Jr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Whyte Jr dodges the punch combination from Baum.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte Jr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Whyte Jr bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Baum's head. Baum takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Baum scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. A slapping leg kick lands for Whyte Jr.
