The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Owens with that takedown attempt.

Stephenson shoots in and gets a takedown into Owens's guard.

It looked like Stephenson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Stephenson is pressed up against the cage. Owens has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stephenson down to the mat. Stephenson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Owens lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stephenson circles away quickly and effectively.

Stephenson stands and steps away. Owens gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Owens is nestled in close to Stephenson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Stephenson stuffs the takedown attempt from Owens. Owens gets slowly back to his feet.
Owens shoots in looking for a takedown but Stephenson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Owens's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stephenson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I would just about give that final round to Logan Owens.
Well Owens has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Wall throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chavez was covering up waiting for the punch and Wall finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chavez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Odom content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Lightning has locked up a guillotine! Lightning's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Odom is holding on here and Lightning must be using up a lot of energy. Odom has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Lightning gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
