Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tadeu fails with a takedown attempt.
Gabriel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nice takedown defense from Gabriel. No joy for Tadeu on that attempt.
Gabriel feints and as Tadeu raises his hands in defense, Gabriel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Gabriel throws an elbow that misses. Tadeu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gabriel's guard. Nice move by Tadeu!
Gabriel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gabriel tries to get out of the position.
Tadeu throwing strikes but missing.
Tadeu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gabriel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Tadeu forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tadeu looks to land a strike but Gabriel avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Tadeu throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Tadeu stops Gabriel from standing up.
Tadeu throwing strikes but missing.

Gabriel is looking to stand up but Tadeu isn't so interested in that idea.
Gabriel avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tadeu's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Tadeu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Tadeu trying to move into half guard but instead Gabriel has managed to sweep!
Gabriel in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tadeu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gabriel.
Tadeu is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gabriel presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Gabriel is breathing heavily.
Gabriel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tadeu has a takedown stuffed.
Joao Gabriel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guilherme Tadeu.
Tadeu shoots in for a takedown but Gabriel shows good takedown defense.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gabriel lands a big head kick that sends Tadeu tumbling to the mat! Gabriel takes a step backwards and waves Tadeu back to his feet - he wants the finish!
 Tadeu is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gabriel throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Tadeu crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
