Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darion Gregory!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Balyn Omavel!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Gregory looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Omavel lands with a hook. Gregory tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've been hearing reports that Gregory has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Omavel is looking to clinch.
Omavel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gregory is looking to counter punch.
Omavel throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gregory.
Gregory throws the left hand but Omavel avoids the punch easily.

Nice straight punches there by Omavel. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Omavel.
Gregory will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Gregory drops his hands momentarily and Omavel takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Omavel wants to clinch but Gregory slips to the side

Gregory looks for the body kick but Omavel saw that one coming.
Omavel throws out a counter right but Gregory avoids it with no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Omavel lands a nice hook to Gregory's body. Gregory takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Balyn Omavel dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Omavel circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Gregory to the canvas! Gregory doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Omavel keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
